The Before Snap Shot on Day 6

Now, before we go racing ahead towards becoming pretty powerful – it is important to start the journey by capturing a brief depiction of where you are in your life RIGHT NOW.

Only when you can truly look at something for what it is – can you attempt to change it. And in order to successfully get to where you want to go – you need to look at where your starting point is.

You may be very satisfied with your life right now, and maybe you are just looking for a few tweaks here and there. Or maybe you are not entirely happy with where you are at and you feel you need to make some serious changes in order to change the direction you are headed towards.

Either or – I am almost positive that you are looking to better what you have now, otherwise you wouldn’t be doing this program.

So don’t think for one second that this snap shot has to be pretty and powerful just yet. Staying in a denial about any area of your life will prolong the situation. Sometimes we fear that we may look stupid by exposing our weakness or cracks in our lives – firstly, this is a self-sabotaging behaviour that will not serve anyone, and secondly – this is YOUR program – so no-one will see what you write down. Be completely honest and open with yourself to get maximum results.

So TODAY is about creating the snap shot of your life as it is currently.  By creating this snap shot we will be able to gauge your achievements and measure your progress during the program.

Attitude of Gratitude – Starting on Day 5

Today should have been the first day of your morning routine. How did it go? Have you Created Your Day with powerful and purposeful action?

How full is that Worry Chest of yours? Remember, you have stored your worries in your worry chest so that you don’t have to worry about forgetting about what you have to worry about! ?

Today is about creating your day the way you want it to go – and if you are winning so far, good for you! If your day is running a little havoc and out of control, don’t stress, just try and stay focused and pull yourself towards yourself – refresh your mind on what you set out to achieve today and try and get back on track! (You’ll get the hang of it. Just don’t give up! Soon you’ll start ruling your day like a power diva!)

TODAY is all about gratitude and the impact it can have on your life. Once I have given you a little insight into why gratitude is so important, I’ll fill you in on incorporating an attitude of gratitude into your Nightly Routine that you are going to practice from this evening onwards.

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE!

A very effective way to start turning your life around is to start looking at what you are grateful for in your life. This shifts your energy and also starts to shift your thinking. Instead of focusing on what you DON’T have and complaining about it, rather shift your focus to what you DO have in your life. You see, WHAT YOU FOCUS ON GROWS! So if you focus on what you don’t have, you will get more of nothing! If you start to focus on what you do have, you’ll get more of that!

By being grateful for what you have NOW, you will be surprised at how many thoughts will come into your mind about what all you have to be grateful for.

By expressing gratitude, you are literally opening up the channel for more great things to flow into your life.  You become a magnet attracting more good things! Why do you think that when things are going great, more great things just keep on happening? It’s a snowball effect!

The more you choose to notice what is good and wonderful in your life, the happier and more peaceful you will feel and the more abundance you will attract into your life!

Gratitude is a very powerful exercise that gets you in alignment with positive thoughts about yourself & your life – AND it sends out positive thoughts to the universe which are then reciprocated by making these positive thoughts turn into your reality!

Who do you choose to be most of the time – someone who is grateful a lot or someone who complains a lot?

Well – if you want to start attracting all the goodness that life has to offer into YOUR life – then let’s get going on creating your EVENING ROUTINE which will put you one BIG step closer to achieving that!

EVERY EVENING:   NIGHTLY REFLECTIONS

Before you go to sleep at night, it is very powerful to spend a few minutes to just reflect on your day – it allows you to take a bird’s eye view of what all went on in your day without you being too caught up in the rush of it. You can reflect without any attachment to your emotions and you can draw objective thoughts and opinions – thereby creating a heightened awareness of yourself and of what goes on with you in your day.

By doing so, you will end your day with tranquil reflection & powerful perspective! This will allow you to shift your focus from continuous worrying, (counting all those worrisome sheep when trying to fall asleep!) – to a calm, soothing and peaceful way of arriving in dreamland!

Start creating your day from Day 4

GOOD MORNING – IT’S TIME TO GET UP AND GLOW!

Success Strategies to Create Your DayToday is all about choosing the way you start your day – every day from today onwards!  Implementing today’s action challenge will deliver astounding results!  (I know!)

If you are like most people, your email in-box is overflowing and your to-do list is never-ending.  And you probably feel guilty because some important matter in your life does not get the attention it deserves.

We are living in an information-rich, “always-on” world and most of us suffer from the “I don’t have enough time” for “what I need to do more of” syndrome.  Most of us work in a “knowledge work” environment that has no clear boundaries.  You can always do more research, re-refine your proposal, further improve on the quality of your report, spend more time with your children, spend more time with friends, do more for the community – and the list goes on.

Fact is, in our world today there will always be more to do.  Working more won’t change that.  In fact, working more sometimes creates more work!

How do we stay focused and “in control” under these circumstances?  The answer lies in cultivating a habit of focusing on what is most important.

The first step in the right direction is to consciously create each day from the start so that you have a clear plan that will help you make the right decisions on how you spend your time and energy.

PLEASE NOTE:  We will address this topic of “time management” in more detail later, but for now, let’s implement a powerful and motivating early morning routine that will impact your life in ways that you could never have imagined!

EVERY MORNING:   CREATE YOUR DAY

I would advise that even before you get out of bed, you spend about 10 – 15 minutes “creating your day”. If you are one of us gals that needs a coffee to get started, then get a cuppa and start to create your day!

Note: The tone for your day is often set within the first hour of you waking up. If you wake up on the “wrong side of the bed” and the start to your day already seems like effort and is already filled with your negative little voice in your head ruling the roost – studies prove that the rest of your day will just be a negative snow ball effect!

Everything from “damn, I spilt my coffee on my blouse” to “the photocopy machine is dying on me again!” to “someone is in my parking!” ….. will just keep on happening to your day!

So – by visualizing your day and creating it before the day even begins – you will have a much better chance of consciously stepping out of bed on the “right foot”!

Now if your daily routine sounds like a lot to do – then consider – to receive the best results from this program you need to set aside time each day. You must raise the standards of what you expect from yourself. Make the commitment to yourself now to spend time and energy on empowering yourself to be able to make yourself better and to create a more rewarding life!

Conscious Commitment – Day 2

Welcome to your second day of becoming PRETTY POWERFUL!

As you know, I am Samantha, your personal life coach, and I am going to take you on what could possibly be the most exciting ride of your life!

I am here to teach you how you can better yourself, and the relationship you have with yourself, your time, your finances, your health (mentally, emotionally, & physically) and your ENTIRE LIFE!

Today I want to ask you:

ARE YOU COMMITTED?

Are you committed and willing to take the responsibility for taking tiny steps in your life so that you can create a ripple effect of abundance?

Many people begin programs, self help courses, etc and quit before they complete it. They justify why they have quite it: “It was not for me”, “I didn’t connect with it”, “I just didn’t have enough time each day to do all that the program required” ….. and the list goes on.

People like this become victim to circumstance – their lives are full of justifications and reasons:

It’s easy to blame circumstances: Others, your friends, your job, etc – but it’s not always easy to recognise that only I have the power to take responsibility for my actions.

Ladies, there are two types of people in this world:

Those that have what they want

and

Those that have the reasons why they don’t have what they want!

Which one do you chose to be?

WH Murray once said:

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is only one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.

A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which no man cold have dreamt would have come his way.”

The degree to which you achieve your goals is directly proportionate to your level of commitment!
My biggest lesson I leant along my journey was how important my word is to me and how important it is to commit to my word.
You see, we as human beings have the ability to justify and reason and come up with excuses! So when we say we are going to do something, we find it quite easy, in the moment, to justify to ourselves why we don’t have to do it. Our minds know just how to open that back door to give us a way out!
Know this:
Some days you may not FEEL like doing what you committed to, and some days you may not THINK it is too important – STOP in the moment you think and feel this and ask yourself:
If I don’t do what I committed to do, will it take me closer or further away from achieving my goal?
Then ask yourself:
If I do it, not because I feel like doing it, and not because of anything other reason other than – BECAUSE I SAID I WOULD – would sticking to my commitment take me closer or further from achieving my goal?
So you see – it is important that you make the commitment to do this program for yourself – and not for anyone else.

Choice, and not chance, will determine your future!

Life Makeover – Day 1

WELCOME WONDER WOMAN!

We’d like to give you a squiz into the first day of  our Life Makeover Program.

Juggling being a woman, a wife, a mother, a career woman, a good friend, a provider, and everything else that comes with being a woman in today’s world,can be quite a challenge!

We try so hard to BE perfect and DO everything perfectly, that we land up putting too much stress on ourselves – and often it comes with a huge cost to our mind, body and soul.

We land up sacrificing many really important things in our lives in order to take care of what is urgent – and often we forget about ourselves in the process.

The questions I asked myself many years ago: “Is it possible to have it ALL?” And if you feel uncomfortable with this thought, rest assured, I did too!

I did however start to ponder this question, and at the same time I asked myself to define what “having it all” means.

“HAVING IT ALL”
means so many different things to different women. For some, having it all means achieving success on the corporate ladder, for others it’s being able to be a full time mother, or having a loving husband and happy family, or being a social junkie and having wild sex and adventures all around the world! We are all different and HAVING IT ALL means something different to each of us!

But, what I have discovered is that we all have one intrinsic thing in common: If we are not happy being in our own skin, if we don’t enjoy our own company, and if we cannot find happiness within ourselves instead of relying on external factors such as our husbands, our partners, our houses, our careers, plastic surgery, retail therapy, holidays, and all things external – we truly will never find happiness.

It took me a long time to realise that no matter what I was searching for or chasing after, I never really found true satisfaction. The new car gave me instant gratification, but eventually it wore off. The new clothes made me feel more confident – but only for so long. The external gratifications were just band aids, – quick fixes that never got to the essence of what I needed – i.e. to be myself and not mask this. To stop hiding behind who I was pretending to be and to finally step out and BE ME!

It was a very liberating experience when I finally surrendered. My life totally transformed! Finally I was getting glimpses of what it felt like to be 100% authentic. Only once I acknowledged who I REALLY was, could I start creating a foundation for achieving success.

For me, what determined success was to have inner peace – to be confident and happy in my own skin. At first it was quite a challenging task, as I will explain a little later, but after a long stretch of commitment and perseverance, I worked with my strengths and didn’t fight against my weaknesses – and I learnt how to be me – just better!

It is my wish for you as you venture down the route of learning to become a better you, that you find deep love for yourself, passion for your life, and that you too discover and achieve your HAVE IT ALL!

Success Strategies – Using the Law of Attraction to reach your goals

While there are many success strategies that have proven to be very promising, finding ones that work for you is most important. What works for one person might not work for another. We all have different sets of circumstances and goals. Some of us are single and wish to focus primarily on bettering our careers, while others have a family and want to achieve more of a balance in their lives. Because of this, there can never be a one-size-fits-all approach to success – as achievement means different things to different people.

In order to sort through the myriad of tips, tools, techniques, and success strategies for leading a better, more fulfilling life, we can use the law of attraction to intuitively draw ourselves to those methods that will work best for us.

Simply put, the law of attraction states that whatever we choose to focus on expands. So by focusing on what you do want in your life – you get more of that. By focusing on what you don’t have – you get to be right and have more of that in your life. The law of attraction can be employed by anyone of us: worriers, pessimists, and optimists alike. The problem is that many of us are focusing on the hope that things will get better, or we unconsciously focus on what is wrong in our lives. This only leads to further struggle as we are funneling our energy into attracting negativity into our lives!

On the other hand, if we choose to fully experience successful outcomes for the various success strategies we employ, and we focus on our goals, setting targets, and taking action steps – we will be much more likely to be drawn to success strategies that will prove most helpful.

Instead of wasting time on success strategies that will not bring us the most benefit, the law of attraction (by focusing on positives outcomes) can bring us right to the ones that will. It may seem like just a new-age term for a simple attitude adjustment, but it is actually a very powerful technique, used by many people throughout the world. Business executives and stay-at-home parents alike can all use this method to create the life they have always imagined. It’s simple – focus on productive, energizing and positive thoughts about you and your life – and the law of attraction will help make this a reality for you.

You can use the law of attraction for whatever area of your life you want to improve. It does not cost anything and, in fact, will help you become more efficient at achieving your goals. As women, we are innately intuitive beings. As the law of attraction is practice of intuition, this will help to expedite your results even more, making this one of the most effective success strategies for improving your life.

Success Strategies – Taking Small Steps to Realise the Life of Your Dreams

Many times, people think that achieving the life of your dreams requires lots of effort and big sacrifices as there are many success strategies promoting such ideas. However, this way of thinking might actually prevent you from achieving your aspirations. Instead of planning for a major overhaul of your entire life, it is much more effective to simply make sure you take one action step in your desired direction every day. No matter how small it may seem, it will keep you in the right frame of mind to continue pursuing your dreams. Much like the mindset needed to run a marathon, rather than a sprint, sometimes a slightly slower pace or a small change can mean the difference between finishing strong and losing steam halfway into the race.

In terms of success strategies, focusing on simply putting one foot in front of the other can, at first, seem far too easy. Therefore, it is helpful to remind yourself of what you are striving towards, but not be controlled by it. Living and breathing your heart’s desire is the quickest way to make sure you do not achieve it. It seems paradoxical, but think about the areas of your life that have been crippled by biting off more than you can chew.

Unfortunately, as women, we are subject to these pitfalls even more so than men. Especially in this day and age, we are all told that we can, and should want to, have it all. However, this immense pressure tends to do more harm than good. The no pain no gain mentality is simply not effective when it comes to your success strategies. If you think about any major accomplishment, it was most likely achieved by a series of small, seemingly insignificant occurrences. A good example of this idea of compounding is a small leak from a faucet. These small drips are barely noticeable at first but, eventually, they build up enough to fill an entire bucket.

This makes it clear that even the most minor changes will have a major impact. Also, this allows us to forgive ourselves if life gets in the way or if we are just not feeling particularly motivated one day. Rather than forgoing any action altogether, taking a tiny step towards our goals will allow us to take a breather, while not needing to feel guilty about it. Without the guilt that so many women are ridden with, we can stay positive about achieving our goals, making this one of the more effective success strategies.

Success Strategies – How Keeping an Open Mind Can Help You Improve Your Life

Although not always thought of in terms of success strategies, keeping an open mind can make achieving your life goals much easier. Most people tend to look for a plethora of step-by-step techniques, instead of a general concept. However, this idea can be just as powerful as any other method for success. In fact, it allows you to consider, experience, and implement new techniques that you might have not otherwise tried. Therefore, it is an asset both on its own and as a supplement to any other strategies you may use. This welcoming attitude will help you in achieving your goals in the short-term, as well as throughout your entire life.

Once you figure out what areas of your life are not working as well as you would like and, therefore, have outlined what you wish to improve, you will undoubtedly start noticing synchronicities, or occurrences that seem like coincidences. This is because, when we have only a vague idea of what we want to improve, we have no real focus or means to do so. Therefore, when we decide on things we wish to achieve, it is much easier to see opportunities that can lead us to our goals. Whether they are job prospects, social opportunities, or even success strategies that we might have not otherwise have thought of, these synchronicities can only help us if we are open to considering them.

Keeping an open mind means at least considering everything that comes into our lives as a potential opportunity that can further our success. However, the problem that most people run into is that these opportunities often do not appear in the form that they are expecting.  Sometimes, when we are too intently focused on the ultimate outcome, we can miss the variety of ways we have to get there. This narrows our chances of success because we are severely limiting our options. There are many success strategies that can present themselves and help us achieve our goals if only we give them a chance.

Some synchronicities might seem completely unrelated to your current goal. For instance, you may want to find a new job but meet someone out of the blue in an unrelated field. However, in time, you may realize that they have a friend who is hiring for the exact position you want. The same principle goes for success strategies that may come into your life. If you keep an open mind throughout your improvement process, you have a much better chance of achieving your desired outcome.
