Now, before we go racing ahead towards becoming pretty powerful – it is important to start the journey by capturing a brief depiction of where you are in your life RIGHT NOW.
Only when you can truly look at something for what it is – can you attempt to change it. And in order to successfully get to where you want to go – you need to look at where your starting point is.

Many times, people think that achieving the life of your dreams requires lots of effort and big sacrifices as there are many success strategies promoting such ideas. However, this way of thinking might actually prevent you from achieving your aspirations. Instead of planning for a major overhaul of your entire life, it is much more effective to simply make sure you take one action step in your desired direction every day. No matter how small it may seem, it will keep you in the right frame of mind to continue pursuing your dreams. Much like the mindset needed to run a marathon, rather than a sprint, sometimes a slightly slower pace or a small change can mean the difference between finishing strong and losing steam halfway into the race.
In terms of success strategies, focusing on simply putting one foot in front of the other can, at first, seem far too easy. Therefore, it is helpful to remind yourself of what you are striving towards, but not be controlled by it. Living and breathing your heart’s desire is the quickest way to make sure you do not achieve it. It seems paradoxical, but think about the areas of your life that have been crippled by biting off more than you can chew.
Unfortunately, as women, we are subject to these pitfalls even more so than men. Especially in this day and age, we are all told that we can, and should want to, have it all. However, this immense pressure tends to do more harm than good. The no pain no gain mentality is simply not effective when it comes to your success strategies. If you think about any major accomplishment, it was most likely achieved by a series of small, seemingly insignificant occurrences. A good example of this idea of compounding is a small leak from a faucet. These small drips are barely noticeable at first but, eventually, they build up enough to fill an entire bucket.
This makes it clear that even the most minor changes will have a major impact. Also, this allows us to forgive ourselves if life gets in the way or if we are just not feeling particularly motivated one day. Rather than forgoing any action altogether, taking a tiny step towards our goals will allow us to take a breather, while not needing to feel guilty about it. Without the guilt that so many women are ridden with, we can stay positive about achieving our goals, making this one of the more effective success strategies.

Although not always thought of in terms of success strategies, keeping an open mind can make achieving your life goals much easier. Most people tend to look for a plethora of step-by-step techniques, instead of a general concept. However, this idea can be just as powerful as any other method for success. In fact, it allows you to consider, experience, and implement new techniques that you might have not otherwise tried. Therefore, it is an asset both on its own and as a supplement to any other strategies you may use. This welcoming attitude will help you in achieving your goals in the short-term, as well as throughout your entire life.
Once you figure out what areas of your life are not working as well as you would like and, therefore, have outlined what you wish to improve, you will undoubtedly start noticing synchronicities, or occurrences that seem like coincidences. This is because, when we have only a vague idea of what we want to improve, we have no real focus or means to do so. Therefore, when we decide on things we wish to achieve, it is much easier to see opportunities that can lead us to our goals. Whether they are job prospects, social opportunities, or even success strategies that we might have not otherwise have thought of, these synchronicities can only help us if we are open to considering them.
Keeping an open mind means at least considering everything that comes into our lives as a potential opportunity that can further our success. However, the problem that most people run into is that these opportunities often do not appear in the form that they are expecting. Sometimes, when we are too intently focused on the ultimate outcome, we can miss the variety of ways we have to get there. This narrows our chances of success because we are severely limiting our options. There are many success strategies that can present themselves and help us achieve our goals if only we give them a chance.
Some synchronicities might seem completely unrelated to your current goal. For instance, you may want to find a new job but meet someone out of the blue in an unrelated field. However, in time, you may realize that they have a friend who is hiring for the exact position you want. The same principle goes for success strategies that may come into your life. If you keep an open mind throughout your improvement process, you have a much better chance of achieving your desired outcome.

When you feel that you have exhausted all your possible success strategies, consider doing something completely unrelated to your goal. It may seem counterproductive, but sometimes taking a much-needed break is the perfect solution for gaining some perspective and getting you back on track. Sometimes, we get so immersed in what we are doing that we tend to grow disgruntled in the process. This shift in attitude can make it virtually impossible to achieve our goals as it makes us drag our heels and feel as if we are swimming upstream. In order to gain new ideas and ignite our desire to improve our lives, sometimes it is best to take a breather and shake things up.
However, many people are scared to do this. A good deal of us feel that if we let our focus wane, just a little, that we will lose momentum altogether. Luckily, this is not likely to be the case. In fact, just the opposite tends to be true. Releasing some of the pressure and expanding an increasingly myopic view of what we are working towards can serve as a reminder of why we are on this road in the first place. It is also one of the very few success strategies that can help us see where we are succeeding and where we should make some much-needed changes in order to further our progress.
Studies have shown that when we have a problem that we are unable to solve, engaging in a completely unrelated activity can bring clarity to the situation. When working towards a goal of self-improvement in some area of our lives, there are bound to be hurdles and challenges that we must face. Things might start off going smoothly and then we hit a bump in the road, leaving us to question or abandon our previous success strategies. This is a critical junction in the process. You have the choice to either give up or to find a way around it.
Interestingly, it is not usually a lack of motivation that cripples our efforts, but rather a lack of perspective. From there, people often make the mistake of trying to dedicate themselves even more to their goal. But instead of doing this and risking giving up altogether, it is a better idea to take a time out and wait for a strike of insight to hit. Although using this method to supplement your other success strategies requires a bit of blind faith, the answer and a renewed sense of purpose will eventually come to you.

There are so many different things that constitute as strategies for success, but very few of them pan out and even fewer get implemented correctly. When you’re trying to develop your goals setting plan for your life, developing success strategies is of course a good idea as that is one of the only ways that you will actually see real success. The problem though is that you want to make sure that you come up with the right success strategies and go about them in the right manner. Here we’ll look at some common mistakes people make in this stage of their lives when goals setting so you may know what to avoid next time.
A lot of people think that picking a person to strive to be like can qualify as one of the strategies for success. While picking an idol may be a good concept from afar, there are two side effects that often result and can actually hinder your success more than help it. For one, if you look up to someone your whole life, chances are you could develop jealousy for the person. That will then make you look down on your own life rather than seeing the positive. Another problem is that your idol isn’t you – never has been and never will be. You have to develop your own success strategies because someone else’s triumph won’t determine your own.
Another mistake that people make when developing good success strategies is that they focus really hard on what’s wrong with their life. Thorough self-analysis is certainly not a bad thing, but looking at the bad parts of your life for too long can lead to nothing but trouble. If focusing on the bad leads you to a pessimistic mindset, then stop analyzing and start looking at the good things you’ve got going for you. Keep the analysis as one of your strategies for success, but change the focus so that you don’t get yourself down along the way.
Finally, probably the biggest mistake for developing success strategies is not coming up with any to begin with. This may sound silly, but there are countless people out there in the world that expect success to fall on their laps one day. Whether you’re looking for wealth or personal fulfillment, you have to think of some good strategies for success before you can ever reach your goals. Notice that says “strategies” not “strategy”. One plan alone isn’t going to work. Develop the right success strategies though and you could be well on your way to being the person you’ve always wanted to be.
